莫让多元空间窒息 I can’t breathe without diversity!

马来西亚日成立最具代表性的是其多元色彩的社会族群与结构。多元社会既是美好也因其多元色彩而隐具了多重的挑战与困难。

董总趁此节日,邀请来自不同领域的青年社会工作者,横跨不同社会领域并跨越族群、文化、年龄、性别与阶级,一起带领社会探讨当中个体所向往的多元社会目标,并从多方角度探讨整体马来西亚社会结构所未处理的挑战和问题。也希望从青年社会工作者身上感受国家未来的曙光。

主讲人

1)李文杰  (Undi 18) 

“It is through celebrating our individualities within our diversity that we begin to understand ourselves and each other.” ~李文杰

As a Media, Culture and Communications graduate who engages in creative storytelling as a tool of advocacy, Jit is a strong believer in the ability of art and youth to challenge ideas and inspire change. His work in Undi18 and his advocacy project, @suara_my, strives to portray and dissect the world through intersectional and diverse voices. In his spare time, he reads about philosophy, eats cheesecake, and emcees events, perhaps even all at the same time.

2)Albert Bansa (原住民运动者、独立导演 )

“Kepelbagaian di Malaysia adalah sangat penting bagi saya, ia adalah salah satu identiti kita rakyat Malaysia” ~ Albert Bansa

Seorang pembikin filem dokumentari dari Sarawak. Minat yang mendalam dalam menghasilkan dokumentari dan cerita tentang masyarakat Orang Asal di Malaysia terutama sekali untuk menyuarakan isu dan masalah yang dihadapi oleh Orang Asal.

3)Thilaga Sulathireh (姐妹要正义成员)

Thilaga is a community organizer and researcher. their, her (or other pronouns) work largely revolves around gender and sexuality, LGBTIQ+, human rights and social justice. they are the co-founder of several LGBTIQ campaigns and initiatives, including Justice for Sisters and queer lapis. Thilaga is also a member of Seksualiti Merdeka.

4)Danial Hakeem (政府合约雇员联盟成员)

“Diversity is vital to any society, because there is only difference, nobody is ever the same copies of each other, everything is constantly changing and reality is a process of becoming. To progress is to embrace difference & diversity and to reconcile those difference to help each other.” ~ Danial Hakeem

Danial is the national coordinator for a workers' organization, Government Contract Workers Network (JPKK), representing cleaners& security in government buildings especially schools & hospitals. JPKK, since 2015 to bring up the issue of the contract system that has oppressed workers since the privatization of the services in 1997, which eroded workers ’rights such as annual wage increments, annual leave & sick leave, job security, pension and so on, to the courts, authorities, and the government.

JPKK is also active in organizing workers at the grassroots so that workers are more knowledgeable & active in reclaiming their rights & their dignity as an essential part of the front line in the nation 's recovery from COVID-19.
